I just can not believe it is already Mid. March and I have not gone fishing yet.

That tell me how hard I have been working so far this year.

Well, let me introduce you the arrival of the great news. Actually I was holding this news for some time but…

Smallest (earliest) Serial Number on Ambassadeur 5000 model:

As I have previously stated in my book, I have been chasing the smallest (earliest) serial number for (RECORD) Ambassadeur 5000 model.

Here is the most recent report of finding on the serial number.

It is an outstanding number of #50047! This item is owned by Mr. Paul Little of Cumbria, England

I would sincerely like to express my appreciation of your contribution to my study

Last but not least I would like to congratulate your ownership of such an extraordinary item.

Well, December is just around the corner.
I have been just so busy and not been able to take too many days off chasing fish this year.
I hope it won’t be the same next year.

There are couple of reports from me, and some help I would like to reports from collectors around the world.

  1. Smallest (earliest) Serial Number on Ambassadeur 5000 model:

As I have previously stated in my book, I have been chasing the smallest (earliest) serial number for (RECORD) Ambassadeur 5000 model. Very recently Mr. Tim Bahr from Festus, Missouri has reported me that he has newly obtained the item with #50295.

He has been the member of NFLCC (National Fishing Lure Collectors Club for many years.

Yes, that’s right. It is said, “When it rains it pours.” Right after the #50295 was reported, Mr. Hiroshi Nakamura from Stockholm, Sweden has reported that he has #50235 in his collection. Mr. Nakamura told me that he is sending me a picture of another outstanding item in the near future.

Congratulations Mr. Horoshi Nakamura, and Mr. Tim Bahr.
I thank you for your contribution on my study.

  2. I need your information on RECORD Ambassadeur 5000 S.G. model, RECORD Ambassadeur 5000, and RECORD Ambassadeur 6000.

I have stated in my Final Chapter, my understanding on the “oil felt” #5146 as the one in RED was used as the first model around up to 1957, and later RED one was replaced by one in GREEN. As a matter of fact, in some occasion, I have seen some RECORD Ambassadeur items are installed the felt in GREEN.

I would appreciate it if you can forward me some information of above items among your collection.

Model Name, Serial number (if any), color of the felt found in the item. (In some cases, I have seen one is in red and one in green as well.)

Sincerely,

November 28, 2006
